Meet Our Team

Meet Your Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Rachel Popelka, PT, DPT began her career working as an Athletic Trainer in 2015. She then graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018. That same year she decided to tackle her chronic illness head on by heading out into nature, exercising and cleaning up her diet. She went from chronic pain and not being able to run a mile to completing multiple multi-day expeditions and ultra marathon trail races in less than 5 years, all while healing her gut and balancing her hormones. Along her healing journey, she has collected a wealth of knowledge in women's health and what it takes to be an aging athlete.

Dr. Rachel Popelka, PT, DPT

She became passionate about sharing her knowledge and "can do" attitude with the aging athlete after a year of working in home health. Treating patients at the end of life, clearly demonstrated the difference in quality of life between those who choose to build strength, spend time in nature and eat healthy compared to the typical American diet and lifestyle. She is sick of women being told to "take it easy" when it is imperative for women over 40 to "hit the gas". She decided to take the narrative into her own hands and create a space where she can empower women to be athletes at any age.
